Does anyone know what the rod lengths are on the tak & kitaco 54mm cranks?I need this ASAP,to find out if I can put a tak crank in a litaco SE with out any deck problems.

I believe they all run the same pin height, short rod style. WHICH KitacoSE are you looking to stroke? Unless it's got a 54mm crank in it already, it's using a 63mm tall cylinder so you'll need a new cylinder, studs, and a cam chain along with the crank.

its a 124SE....the crank did this to my cases...i think.

a bearing coming out the crank and the really loud knocking noise it was making accompanied by violent shaking...

I havent had a chance to take it apart yet,but I think the rod bearing let go.If I can replace the kitaco crank with a tak crank we could be back in buisness for minimoto.If not we will have to find him a diferent motor to run

kitaco 124se pin to deck is 10.xx mm Takegawa +r 124 is 12.4 mm no idea on the old superhead cranks but you should stick with kitaco in your situation.

Tak has a 54mm crank that works with a stock 63mm tall cylinder?! Damn. That's the shortest rod crank I know of at this point.



I need to redo the crank/piston DB I think.

I might have been lied too. Maybe it's not a 54mm crank. I never did check.





EDIT: Ok I just went out and checked on that crank. It's 50mm stroke and not 54mm. I guess that's what I get for not checking as soon as it got here.
