I would just save up and grab the whole inner rotor kit. From what I am hearing by talking to people that cannot be beat.

THE COILS DO HELP WHEN USED WITH A STOCK INGNITION SETUP. IT WILL HELP MOSTLY WITH BOTTOM END THROTTLE RESPONCE. I HAD ONE ON ONE BIKE AND ENDED UP BUYING ANOTHER ONE FOR MY OTHER BIKE

I also heat shrink the wire harness that comes with the kit for a cleaner installation.

The coil is completely separate. The little black box shown is the CDI unit.
