1. get a ported 70 carb/intake

2. get your head ported

3. get a perf. cam

4. exhaust

5. rev box

6. uni filter



thats what i had except the exhaust and rev box, bottom end was probly the same as stock but it had way more top end.

I looked all around for rules on the stock class but couldnt find any set rules besides 10 in wheels and 49cc. I think it is pretty much just anything goes beside getting big bores and modifying the head or any of that stuff

i race stockers. i got a 40 tooth rear sprocket, pipe, pod filter, breather kit, moded stock carb/intake... i think thats all the "performance" mods. i have the quickest stocker around here.

stock what is stock?

You know stock classes are getting pretty hard to figure out these days .I believe if you keep a stock head and carb all the other mods should be ok . you know a stock head has intake port the size of a ants P$#@^ so porting it is a must but a stock head has very small vavles and no matter how big your carb is you can't get much gas past them . the rule is the size of your carb should match the vavles I believe the stock vavles are 15/19 so a XR 70 carb(17mm) works great but should this be legal in the stock class ??



Help me out here folks I talked to some leaders in the industry about setting up classes but there is so much cheating going on that setting up classes is extremly hard short of tearing peoples motors down . so if you have some ideas let me know maybe we can set some rules down that our local tracks can use . I would like to see a national pit bike racing association that applys to the bikes that we race so if you guys have any thoughts lets get them out there

i deffinitly agree with skindonor, we need to get some type of association at least if that happened we might actually see alot more races set up. the races now are too few and two far apart outside of the local starwest and prris races eventhou those are still cool!

TAKE THE STOCK SILENCER OF YOUR BIKE AND PUT AN AFTER MARKET

TIP ON IT....

i got a fresh top and bottom end rebuild and over the past weekend at a race and about 10 people were accusing me of borred out cylinder/piston combo. i think they were just scared. considering all the people who ran into me in the first lap! they need to have rules about that too...

SO AN SO BEAT ME CAUSE HE HAS A PIPE AND I DON'T ". I'M GOING

BY AMA TYPE RULES ... OK, NOW LETS SAY JOHNNY, THE ORGANIZERS

KID IS RACING AND HAS A PIPE.BEFORE THE RACE, THE BOOK COULD BE CHANGED BY THE (REFEREE). " I HAVE SEEN IT HAPPEN".



I'M NOT SURE ABOUT 50CC RACING BUT IF YOUR GOING TO HAVE A RACE A SERIOUS ONE!! WITH POINTS AND AWARDS, YA GOT TO HAVE

RULES OR ALLOWENCES.... IF YOU ALLOW PIPES THEN WHATS NEXT,

AIR CLEANERS, BIGGER CARBS, REV BOXES... WHERE DOES IT END..

THAT CLASS IS CALLED MODIFIED....



IM SURE WHEN, NOT IF THE 50CC SEEN GETS REAL BIG THERE WILL

BE SOME KIND OF GUIDE LINES OR RULE TO FOLLOW.



ANYWAY, YOU STILL CAN TWEAK A STOCK PIPE, ALSO I FORGOT

PORTING IS ALLOWED AS LONG AS THE COMBUSTION CHAMBER STAYS THE SAME...YOU KNOW, CLEAN UP THE INTAKE AND EXHAUST PORTS

YOU STILL HAVE THE STOCK PART ON ITS JUST TWEEKED A LITTLE.

i was thinking quad rules, i don't think the tracks by me enforce the exhaust in the stock class but i am going to check thanks oldschool for the info. i think we def need to shed more light on this subject becuase its hard to set your bike up for a certain class when you don't know what you can do..lol, thanks

IF SOME INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE IN THE 50CC SEEN, FROM COAST TO COAST, PUT THEIR HEADS TOGETHER SOME KIND OF STANDARDS

CAN BE MET.... IN THE EARLY 80'S I HELPED ORGANIZE A B-PRO BMX

SEIRES HERE IN MASSACHUSSETTS IT TOOK A FEW GUYS TO GET

TOGETHER AND APPROACH THE STATE COMMISSIONER AND THE BOARD

OF DIRECTORS IN THE STATE, FOR THE (NBL) TO GET THE BALL ROLLING.

im with ya kevin, all i know is 50 racing is way way bigger than i ever knew i went to the red bull race in CT and what a huge turnout. all we need are some motivated people to get it rolling

RED BULL RACE "I WAS THERE TOO"

HEY SIX SIX SIX,

I WAS AT THE RACE TOO #38. I GOT 5TH OVERALL IN THE MOD-CLASS

AND 8TH OVERALL IN THE OPEN..... JUST COULDN'T GET THE START DOWN !!!! 91 WAS FAST GOOD LINES.... AND TONY LORUSSO JUST MISSED RACING HIM ON THE BIG BIKES MANY YEARS BACK... THE GUYS

GOT MORE WINS AND CHAMPIONSHIPS IN THE (NESC.) MORE THAN

JOHN DOWD AND DOUG HENRY. COMBINED!!!! RIDING WITH THOSE GUYS IS AWSOME. JUST CANT BELIEVE IS THE END OF SUMMER....



WISH I COULD AFFORD TO RENT OUT AN OLD WAREHOUSE, AND PUT

ON A WINTER NATIONAL!! SOME FIDDIE INDUSTRY SPONSERS, DIRT,

MACHINERY OPERATORS ...... THE LIST GO'S ON..... IM DREAMING
