How nessasary(spelling) are stiff valve springs with a new cam. I just orderd my bore and it comes with a race cam but I am keeping the stock ignition box with the rev limiter and am not sure if I still need stiff springs or not.

with stock cdi---not necessary

but if you get the rev box later it will just plug in but to put the springs in later you will have to remove the head again which may cost you another gasket set

Make sure you check what springs you need.....I ran the yellow takegawa dual springs and the smoked my rocker arms and BBR cam.....They worked really well, just way too stiff...

what springs would you guys recommend for a takegawa 88cc BBK stage S, with a takegawa rev limiter ? and how hard are they to install ?

use xr 70 springs

i use a web cam MADE IN THE USA it did not do that to my cam but it did dish out my rockers they are to stiff like i said use xr 70 springs
