I was just thinking, would it be easier or cheaper to make a 4valve head that was SOHC instead of something like the Take DOHC motor.

that will work look at the crf honda! it is sohc 4valve but this project needs a big company with money to make the tooling and for r&d.

anything is possible......but think about how big the head would have to be to neccessitate a cam with four lobes(sp) on it........I dont think it would be worth it....things are already tight enough underneath to be adding more clutter...........

I dont know, If you look at how small the head on the CRF's are compared to the Yamahas and everything are, they are actually quite smaller. If one of the companys follows that design they could possibly make it quite small.
