Schaefer Tracks has been designated as the track builder for the MMSX.
We've heard that, except that no websites have been updated to give a date. The email address for the MMSX website is not active. Apparently non of the sponsors know anything. So if Schaefer really is building a track then they are doing a damn good job of ensuring nobody will be there to race it.

^^ That page is old.
It is explaining to you that they were chosen to build the MiniMoto tracks over the years.
He also does the Endurocross tracks for them as well.
Shane told me about a week ago that MiniMoto in Vegas is a no-go for 2014.
I've been holding out hope as well, even though Sano hasn't raced it the last 2 years, I was still hoping it would happen.
I didn't want to be the one to break the news either as I am not an official part of this race, but I doubt if they will put out a PR saying it's cancelled.
I've been to every MiniMoto and we won the first one ever (Tommy Hofmaster, 2004) and won three other titles in 2007.
Doing the PlanetMini's webcast announcing with Nick and Surfrat from the South Point in 2011 may even be my highlight.
I'm going to remember everyone of them and I'll truly miss them too.
Hopefully they will call me and tell me to take this post down because it's not true, but this is what I was told.

Very very sad.. It was my dream to make it to minimoto and this was gonna be the year I finally spent all the money and time on the road to do it. Kicking myself in the arse for not going last year.. Hopefully they pull through. Everybody needs to show their support and actually attend mini events if we want it to keep going. A lot of people are scared away by the competition but I have a blast no matter where in the pack I am and I feel everybody should if you ride a mini bike.

agreed, maybe koby can work his magic like he does and if we all chip in entry fees for koby early maybe he can set something up thats awesome. Defiantly would be a fun discussion as to where to hold a race.

That sux!! I think we all knew at this point it wasnt going to happen but I was still holding onto a shred of hope. Now what? Like many other people I have kept early May open to travel to Las Vegas. Koby now that its official are you going to try and arrange a KOBYMOTOSX 2014 in May? Lets make something happen. Unfortunately for me to put my business on the side and travel I have to set plans two months in advance.

If koby was going to put on a race, what track would work the best?
