Okay so I bought a Sano MX Kit (bars, clamp, throttle tube) put that on.. Of course I needed a longer throttle cable, because the stock one is to short. So I bought one from Two Brothers.

Slapped it on, and..... no matter what I did! It was to long! It wouldn't return the correct position (wouldn't hit the pins), I adjusted everything I could!

Is it me, am I being retarded or has anyone had a similar problem?

Please.. HELP!!

on the slide there is a notch that goes to the idle adjustment side on the other side is a slot it slides down the little pin inside the carb this to keep the slide straight . the slide should go all the way down in the carb.

Hope this helps

easy way to figure it out, if its hard to put the cap back on because of the spring compressing, its wrong. ive never messed with a super long cable so i dont know what the problem could be besides that. do you have a digicam?

Yah I have a digicam..

Anyways the slide wasn't down all the way in the carb. but I fixed that, but the cable was still too long!

I don't understand why its so long?

I ended up using the stock one it works fine. But I'm still kinda pist. Im gonna order another one NOT from 2 Bros. If it does it again I'm gonna cry lol.

Oh yah and after struggling for hours getting it done I ended up going over the bars and broke my new brake lever and scratch my bars and throttle tube  haha

I had everything adjusted as far out as it would go!

Do you think its cause I don't have 1+ forks??

I can't be the only one thats had this problem. It's so weird, i dunno what else to tell you to give you any clues of what is wrong with it. I'm just bummed. I know it's a 10$ part but, it gets to me.

Thanks everyone.

Their is two different cables available for these bikes.

One is the pro style which works with most the billet throtlttles out their. Red Baron, Sano, Sik 50s, Five-O, Fast 50s.

The other cable out their is the "CR" style cable for the "CR" style throttles. These are the throttles that are plastic and come in the BBr. Pro taper, SIk 50s, ANd I cant think of any other kits of hand. This cable has the same outside diamter as the first mentioned cable. but the inner cable is about a 9/16 inch longer because the "CR" style throttle makes a 90 degree bend and takes up more inner cable.

If you have the "PRO" style throttle and a "CR" style cable you may neveer be able to adjust the play out of it.

Id look at your slide again

You said the cut out or the taper was forward. THis is WRONG. This may be your problem. It will go down both ways. But the carb and slide has to cut outs on it. ONe is the slide guide. The other is the idle screwcut out.

Your forks have nothing to do with the throttle cable as your cable does not even travel, route or go anywhere near anything down their.

thanks xr50racer.

I do not know, which one the store ordered me. I have a sano aluminum throttle.

also yes I already had mentioned I did have the slide wrong, it wasn't down all the way but, still all down all the way it was to long.

I'm gonna order a cable from SkinDonor i think.
