546 Views 6 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Drained
hey guys,I did a search but could'nt find a specific answer. My question is: What grit sand paper do I use to sand my stock CRF50 frame? Sand blasting isnt an option for me so i'm gonna do it by hand. Then I'll hit with primer, rattle can paint, and clear coat. Thanks for your help.

Use acetone, thats how i took the paint off mine,it brought the paint up almost as soon as it touched it,then just rough it up with some 400 and go from there.
Not to jack the thread, but how much does it normally run to have a frame sand blasted?

I work in a paint shop so i just filled a sink with enough to drop the frame in but you can put it on any way you want.Acetone will evaporate fast so you really don't want to spray it on so if you cant soak it get some rubber gloves(safe for chemical use)and soak a rag and wipe it on.

To bad your not over my way,i'd have i clean as a whistle in 5 min. for ya and painted all for the low low price of $0 just because thats the kinda guy i am.

But it would have to be the color of my choice and right now im doing alot of John Deere green...lol
