I finally took my rear hub off so that I can go get it powdercoated. How do you guys get the dust seal and bearings out without ruining them?

I've got the brake linkage off down to the spline on the hub, the shoes off, and then once I get the bearings and dust seal out I should be ready to go. Am I missing anything?

Thanks!

You have to use a small punch to reach thru the hub from the opposite side to tap the bearings out. There will be just enough of the inner bearing race sticking out past the spacer to get a small bite with the punch and you can tap it out a little at a time. Be careful as you are hitting the inner race and can easily ruin the bearing. When you get one out, the spacer falls out and you can do the other bearing tapping on the outer race. Or you can go to your local M/C shop and they will have a special puller to remove the bearings.
