hey guys do u know of a place where i can get a race cam for an 88 bb kit motor??..ive found race cams for stock head but i didnt know if that would work lmk thanx

so what are you asking now? Fire Power has racing cam shafts, I just ordered 1 from him

for CRF style heads the only cams out there are the TB300 and the Z40. I myself run a Z40 right now but am thinking about having Crower do a custom grind on a TB300 to bring it up to a Tak30....

If you have a race head you should be able to notice larger/deeper heat sinks (fins) on your head compared to a stock one.



Stock heads are also stamped with a certain letter number combo. Just punch in the numbers on your head into your google machine and see what it gives ya.



But to answer your original question there may not be a 'race" cam for a stock head. Perhaps the valves are too small to be considered race. I have the 88 kit with the tagegawa S cam. It makes good power IMO

if you are running a stock head some more options are bbr had a cam with thier 82kit that was for the stock head, hotcams is listing two cams for stock head on thier website.
