I came up on a Z50 that the tank mounts to the thru tube above the key mount. Guy says it's a 1968 Mini Trail. Is it something different? Tank looks just like my '69 tank except the different front mount.

The tank isn't the same as the one I pictured.

Definitely a KO, with some serious aftermarket butchery. Ears were welded on to the front of the tank and frame tank tabs have additional "aftermarket" enhancing. Many of these were cobbled back together like farm equipment, i have seen some frames that would make you shudder..
