Alright...i think i am making a name for myself as the biggest ghetto rigger out there...but my money tree burst into flames and i dont have big money to throw around.

Somebody said something about a PW80 swingarm working on a 50 if i remember right. Anybody know what kind of machining it would take to make everything bolt up right? Maybe some spacers and relocating that little post for the rear brake? I think at least one big company is using PW80 forks with different tripples right?

I think that we should start a list of suspension parts that will transfer over to the XR50 from other bikes.

Here's what I know of.

Forks-

KTM 50's

XR70

XR75

MR50

KX60 (using kitaco 30mm clamps)

PW80/TTR90 (with the right clamps)

Polini 50s

Swingarm-

XR70

PW80(i think)

Shock-

KTM 50

XR70

if i left anything out...feel free to contribute

Back to the original post... will the PW swingarm bolt up or not. I know somebody did it, they just won't admit it  Don't be ashamed.

There are two PW80 swingarms on ebay starting at $30 and $35 bucks.

A billetware starts at $320 or so.

Getting the same function for a fraction of the cost....priceless 8)

$35 bucks for a longer swingarm isnt somthing you should pass on... Unless it is super wimpy.

You can get the Factory swingarm for like $165 new, and someone said on an earlier post you can get a new xr70 swingarm for $135 from a honda dealer.

Just had to answer this one .

we have used a copy of a PW80's swingarm it comes off the Lifan Dobber 4 it does fit but you will need to customize the break stop and make new spacers.

this swingarm is about 3 inches over stock so you have to find a beefy shock (I suggest a XR70 works shock) . plus the shock mount is wider so you need some spacers there too.

the front forks off the Dobber 4 are PW80/ttr90 they are what we are putting on our RC50X they work great.
