i bought a set of brp triple clamps to install 65 forks on a 110, my problem is that when i tightened the lower bolts the fork tube turns, but the top tightens good i have installed many fork clamps but never had this problem but never this wide with three bolts. the bolts are torqued to 18 pounds ft-lb, im afraid the bolts will strip if i go any tighter because they are only 8mm bolts, the torque for the stock bolt was 22 pounds but a 10mm bolt, has anybody had this problem

i snugged ours down with t-handle and they seem to be fine.

Is there still a gap at the clamp after you tighten the bolts or is it bottoming out before it clamps the tube ?

um yes there is still a gap i tightened them down to 22 pounds because brp told me to and the tube still turns

So either the bolts are bottoming out, the threaded part of the bolt is bottoming out or the threads are binding really bad. If their not bottoming try removing the bolts and using some grease on the threads and under the heads of the bolts.

i found the problem the company installed to long of bolts, so they were bottoming out thanks for the responses
