i've installed my applied heavy duty fork springs and now i get alot of rebound with a sharp KNOCK at full extension. it is so bad that my hands are killing me after just an hour of riding. does anyone experience this with theirs? it's becoming not worth it to ride because i need two days to recover from the pain in my hands.

i mostly trail ride. when log/root jumping ... at full extension when the front leaves the ground there is a considerable KNOCK in my front end that sends a sharp vibration through the bars.

when a friend and i installed the springs, we installed a set on my fiddy and his. the only difference being that he has a 2000 xr50 and i have a 2004 crf50 (which i know makes no difference at all). he has no knock and his doens't get nearly as much rebound.

any help would be appreciated.

the oring doenst really make a difference at all, it sounds like u put them in but u didnt put bushings in, the applied springs arent the best all around, but they are stiff as f!ck and thats badass for bmx/ramp jumping, but if u ride trails and stuff and dont go big u can get away with stock springs or bbr has a nice plush feel compared to applied. good luck

yah...i forgot about the o-rings. (i do wear gloves). i didnt install the o-rings because there was NO way to get the pin to fit through the holes if the o-ring was installed. no way at all. the pin just barely fit without the o-rings in there. i'm going to disassemble and reassemble once again. and there was/is lotsa grease in there.

"the o ring does make a difference, hes complaining about a painful jolt!"

how do i get the o-rings in there? they would have to be flat like a rubber washer. unless they go somewhere else.

what i also forgot to mention is after installing the springs and hitting the trails...i wasn't ten minutes into it when both c-clips came undone and all the internals came sliding out. luckily we had tools with us and fixed it right then and there.

if this keeps up i'll just get a set of forks or something...this is ridiculous.
