Bent a valve on my klx stock head, so thinking of putting a big valve head on before i sort out a bore kit.

will the pitster head work without changing the reliefs on my stock piston?

cos this seems like a cheap race head option.

plus will it work on a tb165? cos thats the bore kit i will be going for.

thanks

the YX 150/160 heads will NOT work without valve reliefs. i have one on a TB143 rh piston kit and it runs really good for a cheap top end.. these heads make a lot of ticking noise though, i thought something was wrong with mine, but ive read from a few people on here and their YX heads do the same thing..

get the 165 scut and a FPM ported YX150/160 head. for the price, it should be a really great set up. then later you can upgrade to the TB V2 roller rocker head ;)

"Pitster Head" should be better defined.

YX 150/160cc stock head KLX type:

Accepts Stock KLX cam covers and is made with 2 different port types

A Port type will accept CRF Pipes

B Port type will accept KLX Pipes

ZS 155 stock heads DONT accept stock KLX110 cam covers

and all accept KLX 110 Pipes.

All these heads will work fine on TB kits.

Check valve to piston clearances when running on a stock 110.

Easy,

Run a TB 143cc / 60mm kit with TB Stroker crank for 155cc

Bolt on and go, Plus you have the longer skirted piston.

^bingo

the 143 kit runs around 200 (i think)

tb crank is around 165 (i think)

and a YX head maybe 100ish

then find a carb

so round about 450-500 and you got a lil monster

I would suggest the HO head as it has a smaller combustion chamber that bumps compression and fit the KLX engines better.
