here they are installed, i still need to fab up somthing for the brake cable.

now heres my one issue with these forks, and please if anyone has done this mod and shared the same experience please tell me. It appears that the brake tab on the forks barely sits in the grove on the drum brake assembley. and i mean barely. it does not move but just barely sits in there. even if i open it up more it can not sit in the tab anymore cause of the spacing on the drum assembley where the axle goes through.

Measure if your wheel is in the center of the forks. I'd bet it's off set to the right about 1/4". I had to take about that much off the brake drum and grind down the tab on the fork to fit into the 50 drum slot. I did have to add a thick washer on the right side to even out the spacing or just have a new spacer machined to fix that.

The toughest thing was the brake bracket. A lot of people just zip ty the line to the forks but that only flexes or slips and the front brakes suck. Just make sure you make a sturdy bracket that wont flex when you pull on the brake hard.

What's up with that HD spring you have? Want to sell it to me?
