Managed to get it insured but that was cancelled a month later when they realized what the bike was, tried to register it with the short vin number at multiple registries and had no luck. Showed them pictures of the vin, tried to play dumb and what not but the short vin seemed to be the issue at most registries. Does anyone have any ways to try and get this thing street legal? I'm in Canada, Alberta and really would like to get it on the road.

Yeah it is a 2004 nsr50r

They came to Canada and USA as a race bike so your going to have a tough time getting it plated with the short VIN.

What if you registered it in Vermont, like a lot of folks do here in the states. I don't know if Vermont would even do that when you live in Canada, but it might be worth asking.
