Either way you should have a clutch adjustment screw. You need to screw it in and out with the lever engaged until it disengages the clutch and then test it for consistency. You may have to adjust it a few times to get it working properly.

I don't believe the manual clutch L models have an adjustment screw on the right side engine cover like the semi-auto non-L models. Clutch adjustment is done at both ends of the clutch cable.
