Hi all! This is my 1983 atc70 which I scored for 100 bucks I changed it to CDI electrical and got a new carby for it and got it running and she ran fine idled started and was amazing through after riding it one day the next she wouldn't start so I used some start ya bastard and she fired but wouldn't idle and and just lost power and ran like a pig so I cleaned the carb and got a new spark plug through I had to numb start it bc I broke the pull cord and it made no difference she still runs like a bag of rats and has lost even more power. Can anyone please explain what's going on would be greatly appreciated like is it time for a rebuild

If it ran fine before and stopped after sitting overnight, sounds like a fuel/carb issue. My first suspicion would be bad gas. Even though you put new gas in it, there can be residue inside the tank that dissolves into it, fouling it again. The other thing to check is the emulsion tube and pilot jet in your carb.

You’ve come to the best place for advice
As davmo said sound like a fuel issue
Deffs start by cleaning the tank out and your carby maybe pull the jets out and give them a blow out
Even clean the air filter and fuel lines and go from there work your way thru each step that way you can eliminate possible issues
