Hey Planet Minis!

Recently bought a heavily modded 2004 KLX143 off someone who had no idea what he owned. Like literally didn't have a parts list, and was not mechanically inclined, stripped oil filter cap threads etc. I got the bike for a steal, it needed some love, but I enjoy restoration style builds.

I have ID'd quite a few parts so far, but I cannot figure out what +2 swingarm & rear shock I have.
I saw photos on another forum saying it could be an old 2BR or Racetech remote reservoir? Should there be air pressure in the reservoir?
The swingarm has the rear brake tab on the inside right like kx60's use, is that a hint?

What year plastics are these? They don't really fit this bike correctly?

I believe the front end is a 2BR Salad Fork kit, but the internals are weird, red anodized spring spacers?
Gold Valve emulators?

The bike has come a long way from the above photos already! It is scary fast and wicked fun!

You're a legend Chubbs! Thanks for the info! Still wondering if the remote rear-resi is supposed to be air-charged?

And what replacement chain guides to use on the swingarm?

The shock reservoir is not air, it is fluid charged. You can send them directly to racetech for a rebuild.
Most aftermarket 110 swingarms (including metaltek) use CRF50 chain guides.

These slides/guides come from a CRF?

I reached out to Racetech - only reason I asked about air charge is because the remote res has that Schrader valve on the backside and it's definitely got some pressure in it.

Ah, Chain slider. I've heard people say that KX65 ones work, but don't quote me. I've also seen people make them out of cutting boards.
