Hey guys.. Thought I would share some info and pics of my next project.



Just got done putting in a KX80 engine in it for the time being until I can figure out which direction I really want to go

Perfect spot for the radiator

Exhaust fits real snug too

Just needs a little body prep and some paint. Also going to stretch the swingarm about 4-6"s . I miss my old drag YSR so I am planning on building another one.

Thanks... Here is a pic of my last one I built.. I no longer have it and I dont remember what kind of wheel I used for the rear. I know it came off of a quad front wheel and tire though. I will have to find out.

With the last bike , it had an old air cooled YZ125 motor in it with Nitrous on the wheelie bar and it ran 11.22 @122mph in the 1/4. We could only get 3 passes out of a motor with the bottle. But it was one hell of a ride.

Its been a couple weeks but here is a pic of the swing arm. Just a little extension on it. Lol.. Paint this coming weekend to match the wifes race car.

And you always need a place for your drink. It will actually hold ice in it and it has a drain. Away from the tire of coarse.

Fill it with ice and slip in the beverage of your choice and the box will keep it nice and cold.

I didnt use any foam .. I made fiberglass panels and glassed them together.

Spent all day painting the tank & plastics.... Will be putting it back together tomorrow afternoon. So will be pics....

Nice, ive had the drag fiddy with the homemade frame idea in the back of my head for awhile now

I have built 4 of these in the last 15 years already... Quite the eye catcher.

Nice work. Can you shoot a closeup pic of the swingarm? I'd like to see how the extension came out up close.

Knowing that we werent going to be chroming this one , I didnt smooth out the welds....

Pink is the new Black Chester... And I forgot just how much fun it is to ride.... I will ride this thing anywhere

I am planning on building another one over the winter with a larger engine and a few other differences. If I can get a 4 stroke 250/450 injected engine , I will turbocharge it

Looks good man, Whats the length of the stretch?

The stretch on this on is 8"... I have done 4 & 6" in the past. This is my second 8" stretch. I like the look and the stability of the 8"

Here is a side b side photo with the bike next to my wifes race car... The color is real close. I just wish that the camera would show all of the flake in the paint on the bike..

it looks good, i am building a YSR currently, and I am looking for someone to build a 6" over swingarm for it, but its proving to be harder than i thought. I have a 78 YZ80 motor in it, that has been rebuilt by team calamari with a traditional shift pattern, it runs strong, i am just looking to stretch it.

Its actually quite simple for any average welder... Its just 1"x2" square tubing.. Make sure that you gusset the inside of the tubes when doing it. The guy that did it for me is a good friend and he told me last night that he only did it for this bike and doesnt want to do another one.. I have had a few people interested in it..



Also , a KX65 swingarm will bolt right up to the YSR. It gives it almost 3 inches more length.

Its been years since I used the KX65 arm.. But from what I remember it is a direct bolt on. I will ask another friend that has one on his YSR later today.
