Hello, I currently have a mini chopper with a QIYE 125cc motor in it. The motor runs good, but I want more power, mainly top speed. I have been looking at the LIFAN motors. This is just going to be a cheap replace because I do not ride my chopper that much. I found 2 motors.

Lifan 125cc or the Lifan 140cc

The 125 is $250 with free shipping
The 140 is $250 + $50 shipping
I have read negative things on the 140cc engine, but I have heard it is pretty powerful. I have read amazing things about the yx140cc, but I am not really wanting to spend over $300. I am wanting an engine that can get me up to about 50mph with out dumping money into it. Any suggestions?

ALSO

Hello, I have read that if I upgrade my sprockets to a bigger one in the front and smaller one in the back then I will gain more top speed. I currently have a 13Tooth in the front and 40Tooth in the back. I have read not to go crazy with the upgrading. Any opinions on this? Maybe a 16tooth in front and 37 in back? I am just trying to get more top speed without losing a LOT of torque. Thanks! Also, I have been looking at scooterpart.net for these sprockets, anyone know where they get their mini chopper parts?

I would appreciate your help very much, also I have my yahoo account wrice04 pending your approval for your group. Please email me back with any information you think might help me.

Here is a pic of my mini chopper.

If you dont have the power to pull the gearing it wont go any faster. Can the engine rev all the way out in top gear. If it takes a little while to get there going with bigger sprockets isnt going to help much. Taller gearing will give you more top speed but only if you have the power to pull the gear out in the revs..
