Well, after all this time, I finally have it all together. I am so excited to take it for a spin, just waiting on my exhaust to get here and I will be ready to ride. Ill put up a few pics of the subframe, the guy I found did a great job welding it up. Let me know what you guys think.

Totally bad azz trike! We need a detailed full ride report from you and you need to make another frame, triples and swing arm assembly like that for me! I can get the aluminum welded at work no problem, just need an awesome frame like that! :headbang:

Yeah, I wish I could find another frame like that, I have never seen another one. I just got in from taking it for the first ride. It went great, suspension is so plush and everything went perfect. Now I want more power, that stock 50 motor is going to get boring quick

Looks absolutely amazing! Seems the suspension supports you nicely in the video. Motor wise, ah just keep that Lil 50cc so you quickly grow bored with it and sell it to me. :fingersx: Then I can slap a 160 or 190cc motor in that bad boy and hit the sand dunes. I would love a suspended 70 to goof around on Someday.

Congrats, your hard work and patience are paying off. However I would skip the 88cc kit and put a Piranha 150cc Daytona style motor in that sweet frame. I have one in my US90 and it is a total wheelie machine that is a hoot to ride. The 150cc is a nice powerful engine with a very reasonable price for the performance you get and can always be upgraded down the road with a V2 race head and/or a big bore kit.

yeah, I'm just too much of a Honda guy, I still have not ever had a chineese motor in anything I have built. The suspension is awesome. It soaks up everything. IT will be for sale here pretty soon. Ill let you have the first crack at it.

I can totally understand wanting to keep a Honda motor in there, they are high quality with good Trans internals. So what exactly did you use for suspension? Are these the same front Marzocchi forks you started with or something else? What rear shock/spring did you end up using?

Will you be able to run a front disk break with those forks?

Post up a longer ride video when you get it dialed in. I think the suspended ATC70s are way cool.

No, The first set of forks I had was the cheaper marzocchi forks that are made for the China Bikes. The forks that I used in the end are the CRF50 length Marzocchi Shivers. They are basically the best fork you can buy. The rear shock is a BBR Elka that was re-valved by Feal. It is the Shock that Came on the Perimeter Kits from BBR. It has the optional 1200lb spring that came from BBR for heavier riders. Yes you can run a disc brake on the front, You just need the hub that comes from Spangler's and any Formula style break will work on the front. I have all the stuff except the hub, I may try that at some point.

Wow, nice! Great build you did there. Reminds me of John Jrs R55 frame in a lot of ways which is great. How comfortable is the ride position and foot peg placement? I had to install some ATC70 Spangler's billet foot pegs and still space them lower to make it more Comfortable for my long legs when riding.

I'm Jealous and I just picked up a nearly mint original 350x, but still have a ton of fun on my Lil ATC70. Looking forward for some more ride videos and how you like the suspension on there the more you ride it. Definitely keep me in mind when you do sell it.

the foot peg positioning feels exactly like a stock klx110 to me. It is cramped but not as bad as a z50 or a stock atc70. It probably sits a good 4 inches higher than a stock atc. I have the peg mounts flipped for an extra inch of leg room too. I am 6'1" 210 lbs so I'm sure about anyone could ride it comfortably.

Thanks for info on the frame fitment. I use Spangler's billet foot pegs (lower and farther forward) plus space them down with extra spacers to make it more comfortable for my 6'4" body When riding.

As for worth well that would be hard to judge. No disrespect but not nearly as much as say a R55 setup which has full hydraulic disk brakes, mountings for things like a stock rear grab bar and has a proven swinger that has held up to adults at racing events. It's a beautiful setup but not proven itself yet so usually a "similar copy" will not be nearly as valuable as an origional IMO. I myself would be interested in a roller frame with exhaust only as I would run an engine twice that size for the sand dunes as I'm a big guy.

Yeah I hear you on that, the R55 is a bad ass setup. My setup does have a few things the R55 does not though, its an all aluminum cradle style frame so there is no chance of stripping out case bolts, I have Marzocchi Shivers where they have a cheap China made fork. Mine could easily be switched to hydraulic disc brakes, I was just trying to prove the concept first, all the mounts are on the frame for the Master cylinder, I would just have to design a hub.

No the R55 is cool but your frame choice is Bad Ass IMO. :You_Rock_Emoticon: I am not at all implying yours is a cheap build nor not a quality build just rather the "proof of concept" has some more proving to be done through future shakedown rides and possibly seeing how it handles with some serious hp bolted in there. Keep us updated on your progress and any other ride videos. I love the thought of more suspended 70s out there. Hope to have one of my own someday too. :D
