I just got Some BBR SP5 forks from craigslist for $80. One thing wrong with them was the drum brake tab was cut off for disk brake use but I already got a 1 x 1" square piece of aluminum and welded it back on (problem Fixed).

The only other thing is the the lower triple is a little bit faded but I want to get rid of the gold anyway.

My question is.. has anyone ever had anything anodized? and does it some out clean? Or is it expensive?

I thought about painting it to match the color I am going to paint the frame but that would cover the BBR so if anyone has pic s Id love to see them.

I tried posting a pic but it didn't let me, I will try again later, along with my $200 XR50 I bought.

Any crf70 springs. And bbr make damping rods for crf70 forks that i think will work with sp5's making them longer and giving them more travel.

Wow oven cleaner and and a tooth brush, That seems like the easiest route I might just do that. Strip it off and polish it up.
