That is so cool!! I framed stretched mine. I am going with a shrouded klx tank but I never thought about moving the seat forward. That is going to change the project for sure. Hopefully running this week and then I planned on making a seat pan next.

Thanks for the inspiration

It's an 87. Has the rear brake pedal. Pretty happy with the purchase. The gf loves riding it. No plans right now. Took the rear right wheel off and checked out the rear brake. It's got nothing left.

So I'll get some new pads for it.
Clean the carb and air box.
Probably gonna take the head off and clean the piston and valves up. Check the valve clearance.
Gonna zip tie the broken fender piece up nicer.
Right rear tire keeps going soft. Probably needs new oring or tube.

Seems to have some sort of aftermarket decal kit on. It's nice tho.

only missing reflectors and flag.

The plastics are little broken and the black chain cover that wraps around underneath has been hit and gouged up. Same at the rear of it too. So I'll be looking to replace that for sure.

Here are a few of my Atc 70's I own. I own 5 in all, but I am building two full suspended atc frames now out of pit bike frames I picked up. 3 of them have 125 engines and two are stock 70's.

Here's one that I did a full resto/custom build on.

88cc stage 2 kit with HD clutch, Oil pump, Custom cut FMF muffler, offset hubs, rims. Pro Taper handle bars and risers, Z50 Headlight with my own light brackets, Z50R tank conversion and lots more - hope you all like it.

The Frame and forks are a dormant red -has a nice sparkle in the sunlight- same with the tank - in the sun it comes to life.

Long time lurker, first post. I have grown up on Hondas, my first bike being a trail 50, I have always loved these little bikes. When I was a kid, I always wanted an ATC70, but never had a chance to own one. I had dirt bikes and 4 wheelers, but never had a ATC70. I finally had a chance to pick one up that needs to be saved. It's a 1983 model. I have already ordered tires and wheels (Douglas/Carlisle) and a T-Bolt Piranha 140 and as I stockpile parts I will continue to plan my build. It's no pretty, but deserves to be redone:

I have a son that is 2.5 and he LOVES anything with wheels on it. If I am in the shop working on something, he is right there with me. Since he has caught the bug so early, I had to get him one too:

This is a pretty clean 1987 TRX70. It has an 88cc kit on it and what looks to be an aftermarket carb. Runs like a champ and he loves to ride it. It is still a little early to turn him loose on it, but when you see these things you have to grab them up.

I will start a build thread when I get more parts and begin the teardown.

Very nice, love the gold wheels they are a perfect shade. Looks like a mini 250R. :D
Thanks a lot! I love the trx 250R so by paiting the wheels in gold I thought I could make bit like a mini 250R.

Some before and after pics. It looked alright in the dark when I bought it but actually it was quite shabby. A little project had to be started. ;)
