I've got the bug. I picked up and have been working on two 1984 atc 70's. The one is the front is almost complete. The one in back has a ways to go. It needs a 140 or 155cc engine, plastics, seat foam, and cover. Both are running after a trial by error education which I'll dicuss in a thread of their own.

GAH I REALLY need to stop coming to this site. I've already had two ATCs, and now after going to the dunes and seeing one I really want another. I really need a girlfriend to spend my money... because I'm just going to keep buying atcs!

I rode ATCs back in the 80s while growing up. Sold my last one and joined the USAF in 1986. 20 years or so later, I bought an ATC 70 on a whim that started a bout of 3 wheeler madness.

This was the first one after some TLC (seat repair and stickers), no before picture (please ignore Godzilla standing over it...):

A few years later, I bought this pile of parts:

And turned it into:

While working on that one, I bought this TRX for parts since it had an ATC engine and most of the pull start. The engine is in the 2nd ATC above.

I thought I would scrap the TRX since it was 1 foot in the grave (frame cracked) but it was so cute I decided to save it. It now has a 125cc Loncin engine with e-start and reverse:

It's the "Potty Quad". I almost sold it but after a couple of dune trips I decided it's nice to have a camp quad I can ride to the potty at 2AM in a less than fully functional state (me, not the quad).

I sold both the ATCs earlier this year because, well, I thought I was tired of the mini thing and I'm really too big for the stockers.

Then, I lost my mind and bought these:

They're rough but complete cheap and I already fixed the TRX starter and it runs. And yes, that's a correct headlight shell on the ATC.

These will sit in the yard for a while and rot a little more while I finish up some other projects.

Here's my 83 (or 84? Not entirely sure, never looked it up) ATC70 with both my kids. They love this thing more than anything, the little one gets excited whenever we walk out in the garage, and the big one knows the rule of "if you can start it, you can ride it" and tries to start it every day. He's not quite there yet, so I just ride around the yard with them sitting on the front of the seat.

The disease is spreading!!! Traded one of my bicycles to my buddy for this 1980 with TB 88 race head. It was owned by another friend of mine that had a body shop. The trike was in perfect condition until friend #2 got a hold of it. Fork is scratched up from moving bikes in his garage and careless children. I built the motor, tuned the carb about five years ago. It wouldn't start, so I took it home and adjusted the points. Now it starts on the first pull. The frame was repainted. The tank is perfect. It could use a new set of plastic.
