I know I struggled a bit tryiing to find something that would show me the easy way to hook the lights on my 110 Lifan on a Z50.

Well here you go and this in fact works on 6 and 12 regulators.

If you already know this Sorry for the space.

Mike

White off engine to white on the regulator

Yellow off engine to Yellow on the regulator

Green goes from regulator to all light/accesssory ground wires.

Red off regulator goes to the hot wire of all lights/accessories - Can be hot side of battery if you run a battery

Last image is my regulator mounted and wired and the other/black regulator is just something put together for wiring reference

Use either yellow wire and one not connected and it should work based on my testing.

You could also use both yellows and follow my digram and it should work. Just replace my description of white with a yellow on your install.

I am no expert on this just trying to share my install.

For my Zongshen, I ended up taking what I could find on the internet (which got it running) then took readings off of each wire until I figured out what was what. I'm no electrical genious, but with a simple tester, you can figure it out fairly easily.

Good job!

Boy did I have a heck of a time figuring out how to get lights to work on my

"74" Z50 with a Lifan 100cc. I got a schematic from one of the sites that I bought a whole lot of parts from and it did not work. It made my motor cut out at high RPM's so after trying several different combinations I finally got it!!!
