I'm currently rebuilding my motorcycle's rear brakes. Not the caliper but the external setup (reservoir, master, brake lines). One of the things I did was move the brake reservoir out of the way and installed a longer hose to the master. Before doing so, I drained the whole system of brake fluid. Now, I'm wanting to change the braided brake hose as well. Unfortunately, the new one I have now is a bit too short. I've already ordered a longer one but it will take time to arrive. Right now, the old brake hose is installed but not tightened all the way. The question is, is it okay to leave the whole system without brake fluid for a while? Will I damage anything? Seize up anything in the rear brakes? I want to wait for the new brake hose to arrive so that I can bleed everything in one go, saving time and brake fluid.

Thanks!
Marc
