I have a KLX140 project now, and it's starting to really annoy me. I'm about looking to call this project off and do a KX65 pit bike. The 140 could be a good bike to work with, but I hate the way the bike looks more less, I hate the electric start, and the way the rear of the main frame is set up-- it makes getting a KX85 rear shock to work properly- really difficult. When I got this 140-- I was certain that the 85 shock would be an easy go, but it's not that easy.

If I were you-- I'd do the 65. The problem with the 65, is that you can't race it in any pit bike classes... yet! I feel that it's gonna stsrt happening pretty soon though, just because of the performance to the $ factor. Just my $.02! ---L*64

Still no word from PR2? What don't you like about the electric start?

Eric.
i like the klx 140 because I can ride around my neighborhood and streets. its quite good size for me,its not powerful either and not good for tracks.

ktm 65 is good track bike and very powerful, but not for neighborhood riding or riding to firends houses or something.??
we have a 140 also and love the hell out of it. put the gas in and go no need to worry about premix anymore. the magic e-start button is a dream especially getting stuck on a steep uphill climb and stalling the motor.
Eric-- The E start is HEAVY! Do a new '09 KTM65. Check out my new project in the Two stroke minis section. --L*64
