Ishock or works?

at the risk of starting a huge arguement, I'm asking for opinions.

I work at a twobros dealer, so I can get a really good price on an Ishock, but the recent thread about them snapping and the plastic collars has me a lil spooked. The works will cost me more, but is it worth it to get the beefier shock?

I'm not a racer, the fiddy is purely for fun with the occasional organized race, but nothing serious.

I have never rode a works shock but i have the limited I shock and think its great, soaks up the small stuff and the bigg stuff, i have no complaints and as for the plastic peices as long as you don't crank em down so so tight you'll be fine, i think the shock snapped from overtightning it, which made the shock bind...snap, just my .02

Ditto  The I-Shock MOST likely snapped cause they had it over tightened, there is no reason to tighten a shock THAT much and it sounded like he was just riding and it snapped? not jumping or anything?
Definetly ishock, I got the LE and its sweet, soaks all the small stuff up willingly and yet when I go off pretty big jumps still doesnt bottom, very nice. Then even if it did bottom I still have compresion adjustments I could use to adjust it out. So ishock hands down.
i have tryed both and i like the works shock better
here is my opinion and remember its up to the buyer not me!

remember not to follow the pack but pass and win!

*works made in the usa

*ishock not made here(not a bad thing)

*works have three versions to chose from(all priced to the size of your pocket)

*ishock price depends on where you buy it but most people are fair on the price!

*works pro shock has the biggest shaft size of any of the shocks out there all parts are top shelf and i have never seen one snap even it the person installing it has no idear what he is doing!

* if i was buying one i whould go with the works! also one of the tecs at ishock advised one of the planetminis members and you will find the post here some where, how to set spring rate and it was wrong in every way! hope this helps? R.J.P.

Can you show me where this so called "tech" of I-shocks showed someone how to set spring rate?
personally, I like the WORKS better.

but if you have your heart set on a ishock, so be it.

know anybody who has them all listed, all I've ever seen was 1 shock with 2 diff spring options
I have tried both of them and I liked the i shock better. And about the little plastic collars, you could always take those off and get some ones made out of metal.
works will custom build you a shock to your set-up...
