A buddy of mine is willing to sell me a 1996 kx65 for 300 bucks. I know i can use the front forks and the wheel and brakes off of this. I also know that i can make the swinger fit the 110 too and use therear wheel and brakes. But my question is can i use the shock too or do i need to buy one? And is it woth it to spend the 300 bucks for this or do something different?

Spend the money, I did the same thing only I bought a 70 for $300 and used the forks and swingarm on my 50! It is totally worth it.
will i be able to use the rear shock too or no? i work at a machine shop so there isnt anything i cant make up for it.
300 is good just for the front end..sell the rest on ebay and you got it for free..the rear doesnt bolt up you need to modify it and the shock mount for it to work..

oops didnt see that you work at a machine shop..people have done it im sure if you are good you can too
Are you sure it's a KX65? I don't think they made them in 1996? I think 2000 was the first year for the KX65 it might be a KX60 or a different year?
ya i didnt think it was a 65 eaither..to old. but if it is a kx 60 is it still woth it? and someone please explain to me the process to get the swinger to mount up. Does the swinger fit? or does just the shock mount need to be made? or do they both need fab work? any help here would be great guys thanks.
