I need a 4-stroke exhaust for my YSR200...

I'm starting the hunt for a good exhaust to go on my YSR, on which I just installed a xr200 engine.

My current idea is to run the exhaust under the motor and have it pointing out to the side next to the swing arm. (if that makes sense...)

My question is if any of you guys have some good ideas on an exhaust canistor? (Shawn, I'm looking at you here

)

I've been looking at some off of big sport bikes but there are just that, big. I'm thinking that even if I found a smaller or "shorty" exhaust, it would still be a little over kill.

I guess I could get a Carbon fiber one and cut it down like ShawnB did...

So, any suggestions?

I was also looking at the stock exhausts on the new GSXR 750 and 600's. They maybe seem like they would maybe fit my idea.

Um....last time I checked this was the NSR50/YSR50 section, which are street bikes.

If you havent seen the new generation of inline 4's exaust, you probably dont realize how massive they are. Especially the GSXR. My suggestion, and probably your best option, is a 4-stroke dirt bikes muffler. Something like this

Hey chester, i posted up my idea to your question on the other forum. I was thinking of doing a "GP style" exhaust too before i wen to the under tail.

What the he<< are you tanking about? You must have saw this on the main page and decided to throw you 2 cents in i guess...... As Chester said they are street bike and are street legal. Its ok, your a newb....

Thats the exact reason I posted the question, I dont know jack about newer sport bikes, just a little bit about minis and vintage hondas

I've been looking at a few dirt bike exhausts but they just dont have the cool sporty bling look I'd like to have. I know it sounds dumb....but I have a vision in my head that I'm trying to create. If it wont work out maybe I'll get a dirt bike exhaust.

I know what you mean. When i was building the 200 i was going to go with a FMF but didnt get the "look". It will come to you. If you need any ideas just holler.
