How do I tune a honda trail bikes 20mm carb???

I bought and xr50 and it has a honda trail bikes 20mm carb.the guy said it was set to run rich for a better break in.And it is time to turn it down but I dont know how?anything would help......

Is it rich throughout or just low/mid/top. Adjust your air fuel mixture to get a smooth idle. Unscrew the top of the carb and there is a spring with the slide. Undo the cable and raise the clip one in the needle (lowers needle). For top end being rich take off the screws holding the bottom of the carb on. In the center there is a tube with a screw type thing in it (main jet). Take it out and put another in that has one size smaller number.

turn in the feul screw, move the clip down, then set the idle.
