why are they illeagle to import, time to hire smugglers.
Grafixxs said:Fuel injected...sweet. If it's not legal to import one, why did you add that you wouldn't be importing one? Kinda confusing Dan.
You can import the engine and/or components couldn't ya? (Just to get the injection setup)
That's nearly ~$3,000 bucks! Yikes but still very cool.big pete said:Ouch 300,000 yen. They look cool though. I'm digging the red/white and the blue/silver color combos.
travisellis02 said:there is ways to import it into united states. my friend's friend lives in ny and he gets them imported to Canada them drives them down somehow. i think u also can do that with Mexico.
not surely true, this is right but i hear them talk about it sometimes.
Z said:Not confusing. I'm stating I want no part in importing these bikes and don't want people asking me to import them. Since customs is opening alot of crates lately, I don't want the NHTSA and EPA up my backside levying fines if I would get caught. Not worth the headaches.
Importing in a complete engine would also be illegal and against EPA guidelines unless someone took the funds and got this approved. Wait a year or two and those engines will be over here in some fashion.
Notice the Cat. Converter on the exhaust.
cdoublejj said:so it's the EPA why should they care, doesn't japan have tighter emissions controls requirements than the us, i highly doubt they are smog machines.
racerguy180 said:Yes, Japan has stricter emissions standards, but they haven't submitted it (and they won't) to the EPA so they can certify it as emissions compliant.
RETARDED!!!!!!!!!!!
magiksc said:How do you find this stuff Z? Is that an Argyle seat? SIICK
cdoublejj said:Christ ease up man, I did say that in questionable manner i didn't know about epa submissions, and i didn't say i was an expert at that stuff.
wooopps that makes more since. like it would cost the epa that much to get hold of the first one leagly imported and shove a prob in tail pipe and measure the emissions.racerguy180 said:I was referring to the EPA process, not you!
