I bought some new tires... which meant I had to paint the rims. I also decided to paint the frame and install a big bore kit.

Takegawa says it will go from 2.something to seven horsepower.

Those bikes have a nickname...dirty Dax, or ugly Dax or something. I think they're pretty cool. I think they are VERY rare in the US. You did good to snag one.

This is my CY80. Was a 1972 Japanese market only CY50, 5 speed with a clutch. Still have the 50 motor with only about 1500 miles on it. fitted an 80 motor, 5 speed, larger carb and geared it up

It cracks along pretty good as well!

Well... I ordered a R&P rear rack, seat and plastic thingy from Buyee back in the spring and finally got tired of tripping over stuff last weekend. I bolted the bits back together and rode it around. It’s not fast but is super low geared and will climb pretty good with these tires. I painted the parts tonight and should have it mostly assembled this week.

What is the OD of the fork upper legs and would you also measure the distance between the top of the lower triple clamp and the bottom of the top triple clamp, where the forks go?
