Guess this head? Updated with more pics

I got this motor 106cc with tak crank but trying to figure out the rest of the parts..I was told it was the old tb head, but I dont think it is, looks nothing like the one I have. Anyone know what head this might be before I tare into it?

EDIT: Its E22 head, thats been verified by multiple members..

Could be wrong, but that looks like the ZongChen logo. And perhaps the 27 means 27mm intake valve? So it could be a Chinese 27/23mm BVH. Just a guess.
doesnt really look like the old tb head. thats a finned cam cover, chp sells them
im going to tare it down tomorrow and take some pics of the internals and possibly take some measurements to see. I was just wondering if the markings were distinctive to anyone.

Generic e22, 23/20, from the looks.

+1 e22
Pull the one bolt holding the cam cover on. Most (all?) e22 have 3 bolt sprockets. Either way is fine. There are those that feel the e22 is a very respectable race head, for the money:wink: The early TB has a smaller port than most e22 castings, and ported they are identical. The new TB has issues keeping it from being a big step up over the e22.

E22 it is.. Thanks guys. Heres some pic of the 3 bolts that hold the cam sprocket

Heres my E22(left) next to the old tb race head(right pic).

Exhaust Ports: E22(left) next to the old tb race head(right pic).

Now for some ?'s

Is the studs suppose to be different height or should it all be the same? I have one thats shorter and not sure if its suppose to be?

And look at this... Flat top piston.. on 106cc.. No wonder the owner says that he was not too impressed with this motor.. No valve clearance either, it almost felt locked..

Im guessing Tbolt would carry the gaskets I need.

Cam it, port it, and put a better 52cc piston on there and that 106 will be very respectable.
yeah, I think I'm going to put in the Takegawa 88cc R-Stage 52mm piston kit in it. I plan out weeding out the china parts as much as possible. Im not sure if I should port, I remember my 88cc new style tb race head was lacking some low end grunt due to those larger ports, maybe different story with 106 stroker, but I need a bike thats good for all types of riding, kart track, streets, I like to stunt. I pretty much ride on all types of terrain.
23/20 valves in the e22? Stick a TB piston in it and you'll be impressed. R stage will NOT clear.

This cam: "SHORT"_68MM LIFAN ZONGSHEN JINCHENG RACE_CAM (MOST_50_70_90CC) (200147)

TB spring kit has new shafts, rockers, springs, everything to button it up new.

A little porting is plenty.

Or go with the Crower G2 cam you can get from mark, i ran that on my 88 before i got a super head and wow did that wake the bike up.

Your the man Firepower..What do you have in your inventory?

Maybe just get new head and ditch this one? Chp is selling r stage piston for around the same price as tb's so thats where I got the idea..

crower cam was going to be my 2nd choice.

I just popped the cam off, this looks like the same one you posted Firepower?

Check the lift. 5.5/5.5mm one is OK for an 88 MX'er, but a little little in a bigger hotrod. Crower is great, but 2.5 times as pricey.

If you have to ditch that head, drop it in MY scrap bin;)
