Good frame upgrade? Or more CHINA CRAP??

Hey I was wondering of any of you would have any input on this frame I'm looking at- To me it looks pretty strong but you never know with quality of steel and all-

I just thought the design of the frame looked beefy- and also it says its a +2 length and set up for a triangle swingarm (Which is what the stock swinger is right?)

I was thinking about buying one and grinding off most of the lame cable strappys, getting it powdercoated-

Am I wasting my time?

i can get one of those right down the street from my school. that seller is like 20 minutes from my house, sells with a bunch of other sellers out of one warehouse
U or anyone you know every bought or used one of these frames or had any experience with one? Any info would be savagely appreciated
I put one of these frames on a bike personally. It is a china specific steering tube that takes a slightly longer steering stem and different size bearings. some at the advertising companies here at pm can hook you up with the bearings. as for the stem well some of the china fork kits come to fit this steering head but your honda front is not going to bolt right on.
Hey 50race I appreciate you throwin me the info- That was exactly what I was hoping for, someone who had assembled one and knew firsthand what the deal was-

Disappointing about the head tube- I'm trying really hard to stick with stock forks just beefed up with the two bros. fork legs and springs. They work well enough if you grease em good & get good bushings- (I would be the first person to blow 600 dollars on a front end for my 50 but I'm trying to buy a full Two Brothers exhaust for my 06 YZ450f)

The reason I'm interested in a new frame is because I hammer my stock one, I want a cradle mount and I would like the extra inch in the backbone-

I've been considering trying to fab an ebay frame to work but the more I look into it I think if my stock frame blows out I'm going to look for a used Billetware Cradle Mount Frame on here-

What do you guys think?

well you should be able to get a decent front end for about $300.

the cradle on this baby was of course not lined up well and it took some hammering and bending to get the cradle to wrap around the engine just right

I was about to get stem set up for a honda to work but i had to trim the nut that goes under the top clamp and the top triple clamp down some and with the stock style you cant do that. I also made bushing for the frame to make it honda size but i'd recommend a different frame

you might want to ask tbolt about this frame i have no clue how good it is but i think its honda style at least and about the same price little more

Billetware frame is great! I have been nothing but impressed with the quality and performance.

reserectedmxr-
That is china crap for sure....billetware or a slowracer frame is the only way to go.

Go for the used Billetware. You'll love it and have piece of mind. Your looking at fitment issues with the china one as well as durability issues.
that knockoff perimeter is no good, they dont come with any hardware and by the time you get a shock and exhaust and everything you need your like 1000 if you buy good stuff and nobody will buy it from you for that much cause its china and blah blah you know the story

and as for the first frame, even if it didnt have all those other problems it doesnt have a top motor mount. so you would be screwed ther. just thought id throw that in

you can always buy some kind of non cradle frame and add one of these to it eBay Motors: CRF 50 XR Bolt On Cradle Frame System CRF50 XR50 Honda (item 140292927955 end time Jan-11-09 20:51:35 PST)

i had one and they are pretty darn good

looks similar to a pitster frame... and they are strong, but my advise is build your bike right the first time, spend the money and get what you want
Didnt I see a billetware FS on here not too long ago?
So are the add on cradles really worth it? I thought about getting some but have heard of people bending them.

On ebay I have seen BRAND X MINI's cradles and CAT5 cradles- I read on another thread on here somewhere that they were they same thing, the CAT5 cradle was just powdercoated and the Brand X Mini's cradle was painted-

My point is I have heard CAT5 cradles are the best- This true? If I choose to go with a bolt on cradle is there a better brand to buy?
i bent the brand x one , spend the extra doh and get cat5
yeah..I got the brand x that was the one that would not fit
