The yellow one is a 3D printed prototype to make sure the bracket I designed would fit the ZB50 frame and the Monkey R taillight while keeping all of the proportions correct. A lot of trial and error and looking at pictures, I've never seen a Monkey-R in person, lol. Once the 3D printed one was correct, I cut one out of 2.25mm sheet metal and bent it into shape. I am very happy with how it turned out. Thanks for looking, always happy to answer questions.Incredible! I’m confused, what’s the yellow and metal taillight bracket? I don’t see it anyplace on the parts diagrams? Are you using a monkey R frame, or is it a ZB? (I can’t remember the differences, but I know the back of the frames are different) Where are you located - I wanna see it in person! Looking forward to more pics, keep em coming!
I’m still going crazy figuring out my stator / regulator / rectifier issues! NEVER, ever give up!
If you can get your hands on a 4 speed TRX70 trans, it will drop right into the ZB engine cases and it is almost identical to the Monkey-R trans. You may need to change the shift drum to make the shift pattern correct though.I want a 4 speed in mine id go that route if I could find the parts.
The low-tech Mothers polish was the tip I was talking about...in the old days on PM, I would not have been able to say "thank you for the tip" without someone chiming in: "that's what she said." LOL.Tip??? The 3D printer or the Mother’s Polish? Hi-tech! I wanna know where jiggy lives, I’m comin over. Great job! Can’t wait to see more pics. awesome!!
