We had to put a new 1st gear in my friends bike and we got it all back togther and a few times when u go into 2nd it locks the back wheel up and u gotta get the gear unstuck i guess. but now it locked up agian and it isnt coming into a gear or anything. We put in heavy duty clutch springs, but I think its just somnthing in the case we did wrong. any ideas what that be?

- Why did you replace first gear , and on which shaft was it done or did you do it as a set ?

- There could be so many diff things it's hard to pinpoint it .

- Does the shift lever feel like it's bound up , or does it move freely .

- Make sure all of the spacers are installed in their proper spots on the main + counter shafts .

- You will also need to check to make sure the gears are installed in the proper directions per the service manual .

- Make sure the shift drum forks move freely + are also not bent .

- Did the shift drum detent spring maybe break or maybe it's not set properly on the detent arm ?

It seems like mabey its missing a spacer or somthing and it shifts and it goes a little to far and catches another gear in there somewhere. Ill just have to take it apart and take a look.
