Frame braces

Okay I have search the forums and all the other sites I could find and was wondering if sik 50's was the only place that sold frame braces? I know I would be better buying an aftermarket frame but my bike is brand new sitting under my christmas tree waiting for me and I need something temporary to haul my big ass around without bending.

I got a set off ebay (sik50s) and I have not used them yet. They look nice, I just hope my bigger motor and bigger carb still fits with them on the bike. I am putting a 110 semi auto in mine for playing in the yard. Probably a 22mm mikuni if the motor can handle it.
I don't want to tear it all down just yet and when I end up doing it I will be putting it back together on a new cradle frame. The bike is brand new and I haven't even sat on it yet so it will be a while until I start doing major mods. I still have to buy a bar kit and do the suspension mods.
Sik 50's frame supports only work on stock motor set ups. Will not work with aftermarket carbs either.

I might have a set for sale soon then....I am going to give it a try still. I am 215 pounds so I need all the help I can get to keep the frame straight. I dont plan on jumping anything crazy, but its the crashing that will catch up with me.

It Will catch up with you... I am on my 5th stock frame in a year and a half.

I am only 135 and only ride on the street (stunt) I checked with Sik50's and found out about there braces around a year ago. I went with a stock frame with a Cat-5 cradle, and haven't had any problems since. I was breaking the frames on the top left engine mount. But as for bending the frames, fab something or go aftermarket...
Prickster I see your avatar with you doing a wheelie at Lakeland speedway. I used to live right down the road from there. It sucks they tore it down for f-ing warehouses. So you really like the cat 5 cradle? I am just looking for tempory support because I weigh about 190 and plan on definately bashing, jumping, and stunting.

The Cat-5 has worked for me in the past and still now. 2 weeks ago, I was riding with a broken top tab on the frame, and the Cat-5 was the only thing holding it in. Yes, I knew the frame was broke, but I had a new one sitting, so I tried to break it more, but the Cat held it together... If I was riding dirt and hitting jumps, I would definately go aftermarket. Brand X sells a cheaper version of the Cat-5 cradle.

As for Lakeland, it's was a hell of a drive for me. I live in Sanford, right by Ace, and now that SW is at Bithlo, it's even closer...
So do ya'll really think a frame brace and or cradle is worth the $$$$ and do they work? My bike is brand new and just want minor mods right now but definately getting a cradle frame in about 6 months or so.
Hey, I have a Sik50's frame brace brand new in the packaging unopened! I'd let it go for very cheap. I posted a classified ad about it quite a long while ago, maybe you can dig it up if you want...

But either way, I'll let it go for very cheap if you need it, I just have no use for it at the moment and it's taking up space in the closet.

I can ship as soon as Monday morning! I'm paypal ready too, pm me if you're interested.

Thanks!
the brandx cradle is def worth the 67 bucks it costs, i dont know if id drop 150 for the cat5 ones since its the same exact thing but the cradles are def a smart and worthy mod.

i dont know about the braces ive never tried those
brand x ones are **** mine bent in half!

dont skimp on things like that! i realised why :)
if you're runing a bigger carb and air filter... you won't be able to fit the SIK50's frame brace on the LEFT side, but you may still be able to put the right hand braket and add a bit of strength though, not as much as if you would put both but stilll...
Is there anyone that has done this mod and how well does it work?

thats my bike. its a $3 mod thats better than nothing....my frame hasnt bent. i weigh 190lb+ but then again i never went too huge on a jump with it. but my stock xtreme frame(supposedly stronger than honda) was choppered in no time on the same track.
weld a brace underneath the frame. its cheaper and better than buying those frame braces. if you want an already braced frame i can sell you one cheap
