By the way not to offend anyone on here but most people who know anything about lightening flywheels or anything small for that matter knows we should not be speaking of pounds here anyway but instead speaking of GRAMS and OUNCES to be more precise with our claims

guys it is way worht it, josh can also do alot of other things to lighten the inside of your engine to take off extra stress and weight, he also can messwith the valves to make it run better too, he does all these tricks and stuff and by the time he is done with your engine it will feel like you just got another big bore

for one josh never claimed 2 lbs nor did he claim the 1.5lb. i was just simply making a point that he takes evry last GRAM or OUNCE that he can before it gets too weak and distorts.

for 60 bucks........he will make your bike run way harder. this isnt an arguement but just letting people know where they can get a GOOD job done for a GOOD price. claim wha tyou wanna claim....ill bet that your flywheel and his flywheel are very close to the same weigh and perform very similiar. but when you let josh work on one thing...he seems to throw in extra effort elsewhere and make other things even better. and his knowledge is remarkable. just call him and talk to him...im sure he will reassure you that he knows ALL about these motors. hands down to josh and his work. im sure you other guys do a great job too but my money is going where i know its going to go the farthest.

[quote name='"PIMPINdaHOES"']ill take a pic of mine when its done. ill then weigh it too. i dont know about this 2lb claim..but i know its around 1-1.5lbs lighter, maybe a lil more.

AHH Thats the point I was trying to make. You were claiming 1.5 and now you are backing up on that. So my point is don't say anything without the facts!

Let me tell you something. I am a machinist and I don't see 1-1.5 in the same word. So I am not goint to beat a dead horse ok. You think what you want and I'll know what is real. And I did read the whole thin. You stated 1-1.5 maybe a lil more. Why don'y you re-read your post.

well like i said ill weigh it when i get it. and these arent facts....it was more of a guestimation of what it will weigh.

sry to jump down your back here...but i definitly did not want to make it a fact.....like i said again....ill weigh it when i get it, and let you know the "facts".

ok looks like i was trippin. havent weighed it yet but, realized im thinking total weigh and implying weight taken off it.

so to clear this up......

the flywheel will weigh in at around 1.5lbs maybe a lil more.

total weigh taken OFF the flywheel is .5 to .75 lbs.

sorry for the mis-wording. my fault completely.

It shouldn't hurt your torque. Most people think that because the motor revs faster which makes it harder to hook up. If the tire is spinning then your not hooking up or pulling out of corners. I know some flat track racers put on flywheel weights so the power is more managable.

how come no one picks up the phone there???

because hes working on my motor. :D

but seriously, he doesnt have a secretary so if hes in the shop working on a machine he usually doesnt hear the phone. just leave a msg and he will call you back same day.

doesnt hurt your torque....it lets the motor rev up and pick up speed fastre than normal.....but lightening the flywheel can make your motor drop rpms really fast when entering an corner(after you back off the gas). nothing like the inner rotor kit...its really hard to keep the motor running in the corners with that flywheel because it is soo light.

ill send ya pics of mine on wednesday. the weight is shaved off the inside diameter.(half pound)

Well thats completly incorrect. Lightening a flywheel DOES reduce torque, the real question at hand is whether or not its too much of a loss. I think you need to understand what the function of a flywheel is and actually try out your flywheel before comment Mr.Pimp.
