Hey guys figured I'd introduce myself I'm a welder/fabricator and have fun building bikes. I recently decided I'd get a pit bike to tinker around with. I ended up getting a used pile of uh....well it's something. I was wondering can you guys help me identify it. It has xr plastics but I'm not sure if it's a knock off or just a molded out honda. I'm used to looking at older hondas

It’s definitely not a Honda other then your plastics, other then that I’m not much help. Don’t know much of anything about Chinese pitbikes but looks like it’s a solid base if you wanted to throw something together with it.
most of the knock off or Chinese parts with interchange from the little bit I’ve seen about them. A lot of them ran the same engines and whatnot so I think with a little work and research you could have an alright bike to have fun on.
either way good luck with it, be careful if you get caught up in these things they can spiral into having way too many (if there’s such a thing) hahahah

You might want to post the frame VIN number, usually located on the steering neck area, it might be helpful
That's what confused me the frame neck is stamped Tt050810896 but I know that's not enough digits.

Here is one of the honda passports I built I have a few of them. Figured if i can turn a pile of junk into that i can build a cool little bike to stunt around on

Stripped it down to the frame. The plan is to cut off what I dont need and then brace/gusset parts of it. Also touch up some of the welds . I know I'm polishing a turd but it's just something to play around with

Ok so I also have two xr70s that are complete but have been sitting for 10+years. My delima so far is....the aluminum swingarm on the "50" doesnt have spacers just a bolt and bearings so there is side to side play. Also the rear disc hub is shot(previous owner tried welding the spokes to it. So do I try and fit up the 70 rear swing arm and hub with a 10in wheel or try and get the aluminium swing arm and a new hub to work. I really like the aluminium swing arm but figuring out what parts I need is presenting to be a challenge. If i keep the aluminium "big bike" swingarm i have to figure out the bearings and find a disc hub that will work. If I use the 70 stuff I can maybe get it going cheaper but won't look as good. Ahhhh what to do. What do you guys think

Use drum brake rear wheel on the aluminum swingarm. Maybe slight mod to the anti rotation lug on the swingarm. Get spacers in the inner side of the swingarm to tighten up the fit. Send it.
