Got a standard yx140 and have extended the air intake to under the seat for when the weather is bad in the UK.

I now have a bog at low throttle, would lifting the needle help? or is changing the jetting the best way?

Thanks

Check for an air leak around the mating surfaces.

Longer air intake need to be tapered, like a honda/kawi bikes. farther away from the motor the harder the motor has to work to get the air causes a fich bog. Adjust the pilot a little leaner should help. A pictuere would really help us to help you. If it doesn't get better you can drop down a pilot size but only if the one installed is one turn out from seated or less if your still running the stock cruddy carb
