does anyone know where i can find a ct70 4 speed tranny or another tranny i can use in the stock xr50 cases. i'm not really familiar with what models have 4 speeds in them but i'm like to use the stock cases and put a 4-speed in.

Ebay for the CT70H or SL70 core.



You have to use the CT70 kick start shaft, and then modify it to fit into the XR50 cases. It's not a bolt in proposition.

yeah i realize its not just a drop in project but thats ok. all i can seem to find on ebay are 3 speed ct70s but thats again for the help!

The CT70H motors go for a pretty penny, even in basket case form. PM Cam, as i think he had a friend that was going to sell one.

I know of a SL70 motor that a buddy has. Its 4 speed 1 down, 3 up big bike pattern. the ct70H has the GP shift pattern.



He bought it for this reason and decided on the 3 speed close ratio setup for his bike.

Anybody know what the deal is with the CL70 4 spds? Are they 1 down, 3 up or the opposite? Is the kicker shaft the only thing that needs modified on it to work in xr50 cases? Thanks.
