Hey guys just got a new bike with a tb manaul clutch. The guy said he just put a hd clutch springs and plates and it makes a weird sound when in the gears like a high pitched sounds. Any one know what this could be.

If it has the COLD FUSION primary gear in it too ? I'm 99% sure it's that ..

Sorry double post and idk I think the motor is all stock besides the clutch kit

Pull the cover off and see if there are any wear marks on the inside of the cover.

Also possible that you may have the wrong shim on the plunger creating excessive pressure on the bearing creating the whinning noise.

I took the cover off today and I guess I do have a primary gear. Not sure if it the cold fusion one but is there anything I can do to stop that noise

i know im bumping an old thread but whats the deal about the primary gear? Are they just loud and there is nothing that can be done or what? Im having a whining/rattling noise randomly and Im pretty sure its coming from the clutch. I figured it was something like the springs werent able to apply enough pressure and it was causing it to not operate correctly
