Classic style Minitrail of the month September & October 2016

Classic style minitrail of the month for September & October 2016

First ten bikes that are posted are in.

Bike's eligible for contest-

all Honda Mini Trails, QA50, Z50, Z50R, ZB50, CT70, Monkey, Dax, Chaly and all reproduction styles of the original Honda Trail Bikes. The intention of this rule is to limit the class to Trail Bike style mini's. Monthly winners will be decided by Planet Mini's Member poll.

Rules-

Any Rim Diameter up to 12".

Horizontal Honda style engines only. Any size CC as long as it still resembles the Horizontal Honda style engines.

Post them up !!!!! Like the other bike polls, try not to quote someones post that has a bunch of pictures in it.....I may also weed out a few posts to keep all the entries on the first page, so don't be offended if a few random posts get deleted till all the entries and pictures are in.

Here's my latest restoration.

1968 Honda Z50a. Restored it from a mess of a frame and fork I found on ebay years ago. Stripped it all, then powdercoated everthing and put it back together. Installed a 2006 crf50 engine and it runs like a top.

I'll throw one on here. Here's the most recent project I put together.

20160907_092455.jpg 20160907_092526.jpg 20160907_092555.jpg

I machined up most of the parts, i.e. Triple Clamps, risers, 'n steering stem to adapt KX65 forks, hub for the KX65 rotor (but made to stock spacing specs so I could make a bracket to catch the drum to allow stock Z50 hub) machined up the swingarm and had a buddy at work weld it up, silencer, peg spacers, blah blah blah....

Have another one similar with a KTM65SX front end.... That's part of the reason I have the KTM fender 'n #plate on this one; cause I had these on hand, and I just like em better.

My little beater

'72 Honda CT70. It was mostly complete when I got it for $200, including an original (not necessarily the original) engine with no compression and other problems. I swapped in a new Piranha 86cc semi and a few other odds and ends, new seat, new shocks etc. just to make it rideable. And I do ride it regularly on the mountain trails and dirt roads near my home. Not a pristine garage queen by any means.
