I am not ready to disclose my source for these yet as the vendor has asked for some time to get his site up and running, but I just got a load of parts from overseas in Europe and they are pretty nice and much cheaper than you can get them over here.

Check out these components

54mm thin, balanced, racing crank. It is not lightened in how you come to think of them being lightened.

56mm aluminum cylinder

56mm piston and rings

27mm intake manifold

performance cam shaft

I am not telling you what I paid...that will be evident once I provide a link to this guy's site. The piston, cam, and intake are japanese, the cylinder and crank are chinese. However, comparing the crank to the DRP crank, the crankshaft is actually beefier and so is the connecting rod.

Drool...I plan on getting a 56mm crank from somewhere else, so this 54 is going to be for sale. This stuff is for your 49.5 stroke engine, but you can put it in a honda providing you get a longer cam chain and 4 longer studs.

Here are some pics

MpR,

No worries. Highlittleboi is treading very close to losing his posting abilities around these parts.

fatcaat -

Have you test fitted these parts in the cases? From the looks of the crank, you are going to be very close to hitting the crank to the oil pump drive shaft in the conventional Honda 50 and/or ****** 86cc-110cc cases with a 56mm crank.

Astrea parts, eh? Cool....

Nikkos in Greece is a great source of those parts and carries the parts for cheap.

My biggest concern is making that motor dependable, but hopefully you can put those myths to rest.

I look forward to your results. Keep up the good work.

fitment

I am not going to be putting this crank in my engine as I am going to get that 56mm crank from a guy in the Netherlands. I will test fit, but for now, I am waiting until next weekend for the teardown. I hope that all will fit and clear, but who knows. I will figure out how to make it fit...that's what I do.

Yes, that stuff is from Nick...how did you know that? You can't beat his prices that's for sure. As far as dependable, people in Europe are using these parts and they are dependable. As for beating on them in offroad applications, I will never know.

Now, I am going to build an engine with the DRP 52mm stroker and a 52mm chinese cylinder, e22 head, and the camshaft that is shown. This will be an offroad beater and will be put through its paces.

I've been doing this stuff for so long, I know most of the world vendors who sell parts. I purchase from everywhere except from the USA. Nikos has great prices and great parts, and is an extremely nice person to deal with. The downside is getting him the funds. Last time I checked, it was Western Union and or a wire transfer. Not difficult, but a pain unless you are ordering a fair amount of parts.

The dutch and germans have their act together. The things they do with motors amazes me, and most importantly, how much fun they make of Americans for purchasing overpriced mainstream parts.

If I ever were to purchase a turnkey motor from a company, it wouldn't be the japanese, and wouldn't be from the USA. Definately German or Dutch built. Their R&D is light-years ahead of ours in the tuning deparment, and 20HP is pretty commonplace these days if you've got the ability to deal with international companies. Something the US scene doesn't have a grasp on. Very few people in Europe run the JDM parts, and most pave their own trails.

I merely live in the wrong country for this hobby...

Do me a favor and PM me over your contact information, as I would like to talk about this topic in greater length offline.
