i used some oven cleaner from k mart to remove the gold anodizing off my excel rims cause it looked wack on my bike and i wanted plain silver. sprayed the rim (still attatched to hub and spokes) and let it sit for 20 minutes. hit it with the pressure washer and badabing, silver rim. hit it with a little bit of scotch brite and another washing after that and it looked like a fresh rim off the line! although i think i lost a good amount of brain cells

while breathing in the toxic waste. the most effective way would be to spray, hold your breath, and run. after that your golden! the $5 can did my two rims (21" front and 19" rear) and then a couple more smaller parts after that
