Hey guys,

I picked up a non running Klx110 a few weeks ago. Long story short it turned out to be the cdi box. The bike ran fine for a couple of weeks and yesterday out of the blue it had no spark again.
I bought the red cdi box from TBoltUSA,
Are these known to go so quickly?
Ive been completely through the wiring harness for a bad ground or an open.
All other parts are ruled out already. Stator is new and coil is fine.
Thanks

Try to replace the killswitch if you have a buddy with a 110. This will also cause a no spark issue.
I used to kill CDI boxes, and I had a short in a wire going to to voltage regulator on the frame.

Thanks for the reply. It turned out to be the rectifier, regulator. When I first got the bike I questioned the rectifier because the test results seemed off but was told by a few that was not the problem.
Below is the way to test it, hopefully this will help someone down the road as with the age of these bikes I can see this happening more often.

Regulator/Rectifier Test with multimeter

Test 1
Negative Lead to pin L positive lead to pin E.
10-100ohms acceptable range.
Test 2 negative lead to pin A positive to pin B 5-30ohms acceptable range.

I had zero resistance on all tests. Meter set to 200ohms.
