Working on installing a TB143 kit in the 110. Im at the point of installing the gear on the cam. I have the lobes facing the down toward the piston and slid the gear on. One bolt hole lines up, but appears the other hole in the cam was drilled too far to the outside of the cam, (spacing between bolt holes in cam is too much). Anyone ever had this issue? I hate to drill the holes bigger in the gear because Id be affraid to effect cam timing. Ideas?

That cam gear is a Harden gear ( at least it should be ).

If you are grinding the hole to get closer to the center of the cam, you will be fine, but if you are slotting the cam, you will need to use a degree wheel and actually measure cam timing.

I've seen those sprockets be off as much as 20 degrees. This is the reason why some engines run better or last longer than others.
